A Friend of Long

A fact you knew,
Though difficult for me to conceive.
Dredge up seeing an impatient sea!
Reaching a forlorn glow,
Amid the sky.

This ambiguity will forever,
But, question my mind.
Shouldn’t it be more anxious,
On nights that often arrive?
When the moon, you cannot find.

A friend of long,
Is missed, by everyone.
Far beyond than the heart,
It can never be gone.

To hold your breath,
And wait for air,
Air, which you can braethe.
How it holds a storm,
When it’s lonesome?

They meet again!
Its blood it cannot hide….
“Where were you?”
“When all this,
I was going through.”

It’s joy, its pain
All come to life.
Of this, and their love,
‘ll always talk.
Not forgetting the times,
When together, they walk.

A friend of long,
Is missed, by everyone.
Far beyond than the heart,
It can never be gone.
